Our PILATES instructor, Kellie Rogers, is STOTT-Certified Level II in Mat and Reformer. To achieve this certification, Kellie completed 30 hours Anatomy, 90 hours classroom instruction, 20 hours of observation, 70 hours of physical review, 40 hours practice teaching, and 76 hours of apprenticeship at a STOTT PILATES® certified instruction center. She has also completed a STOTT course in Injuries and Special Populations. Through the extensive coursework offered through STOTT, she continually adds to her PILATES knowledge.
Kellie was born and raised in Geneva, IL. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Purdue University. Kellie has a son and a daughter, who are twins. She started PILATES training in 2003 when her twins were one year old, and she loved how the exercise technique strengthened her core after pregnancy. In the past year, Kellie’s PILATES instructor encouraged her to pursue certification. When she’s not doing PILATES, Kellie enjoys boating on the St. Croix River.
STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary approach to core strengthening in compliance with the modern understanding of biomechanics. It promotes body awareness and proper body alignment, so all exercises are performed in a safe and effective manner. As a result, PILATES is an excellent exercise regimen choice for everyone, from individuals who are in need of additional rehabilitation following an injury or surgery to athletes who wants to take their exercise routines to the next level.
